Make friends and try new indoor and outdoor activities

Beavers are our youngest members, and meet for an hour per week. They enjoy all that Scouting has to offer; being introduced to outdoor activities, having the opportunity to be creative, explore their local community and experience the excitement of a Beaver Scout Sleepover with their friends.

The Beaver Colony is the first and youngest section of the Scout Group. Beaver Scouts are young people aged between 6 and 8 years old.

Meetings

We have two Beaver colonies at 2nd Abingdon:

Monday Beavers – meet at Scout Hut in term-time from 18:15 – 19:15

Tuesday Beavers – meet at Scout Hut in term-time from 18:15 – 19:15

Joining Beavers

We welcome applications for entry into the Beaver section if your child is currently 4 years or older. Beavers can join our section in the term in which they turn 6.

All applications for places at Beavers should be made through the Thames Ridge District website. We regularly review applications and will contact when we are able to offer your child a place.
