There are loads of ways to get involved. If you have some spare time then we can find you something helpful to do. It may be an individual task or as part of a team – whichever you prefer.

Fundraising volunteers

Fundraising is critical to us being able to provide high quality Scouting, maintain our Scout hut and boat base, and purchasing new equipment.

We are always on the lookout for willing hands to help at our fundraising events. Whether you’ve got an hour or an afternoon, it all really helps.

Scout leaders & occasional helpers

Our Scout leaders and section assistants are the beating heart of our group. Without them our youngsters wouldn’t be able to enjoy and benefit from the varied Scouting programme available.

Scouting offers skills for life for the youngsters involved, but it also benefits our adult leaders and helpers, equipping them with skills and tools to inspire others, and giving them the chance to be part of a very special community.

We are always looking for new leaders and part-time helpers, so please get in touch if you could spare a bit of time and would like to make a difference.

Executive Committee

Our leaders look after our Scouting programme, while our Executive Committee look after the general running of the group.

The support the Committee provide means the Scout leaders can focus their time on developing our young Scouts, and have the resources and facilities they need to offer high quality Scouting activities. As we are a registered charity, the Committee also act as our trustees.

We are always looking for new members and extra support on the Committee, so if you could spare a bit of time and would like to help to make our Scouting the best it possibly can be, then you should get involved.

Donations & sponsorship

Fundraising is critical to providing high quality facilities and equipment for Scouting activities. Scout subscriptions only cover some of these costs. Any donations or sponsorship suggestions will be greatly appreciated so please get in contact if you think you can help.
